Maleny Community Heritage Day

Maleny’s history is a collection of interesting stories about people and places. Come and join us and learn about the special stories for our community to celebrate.
Who was Dundalli? Which early settler was known as the strongest man on the Range? Why was Cherry the cow important? Can you really turn a horse and dray around on the stump of a tree? Which buildings in town and surrounds are part of the early history of Maleny?
As part of an audit of Maleny’s cultural heritage, being conducted by Timeline Heritage for Maleny Commerce, with support from the Maleny Cultural and Historical Society, the event will offer the opportunity to explore more about our history, and also provide an avenue for you to suggest what you find special about Maleny’s history and heritage.
