Every Australia Day at the Maleny Showgrounds,
a wide range of community groups invite you to come out to play with your family!

It’s all about having fun together – and it’s FREE entry and parking for all!
From 8.30 am till 12 noon there’s a great program to entertain the kids – Billy cart races, mini obstacle course, tug of war, sack races, gum boot throwing – and the Aussie Thong Relay! What about you?

Always wanted to have a go at golf, Thai Chi, make something on a potters wheel, carve something,have a hit at table tennis, croquet or throw a hoop at netball? Hands on displays that anyone can participate in are the order of the day – just have a go! Try the Big Apex Breakfast, there’s also good coffee, face painting for the kids– and those colourful Macaws! Win great family prizes in the fun Expo Passport Draw.

Get active with the kids – or just take a leisurely stroll, be entertained, and say “G’day!” to the organisations bringing you this fantastic morning. Learn where all the community organisations are, how you can join them if you want to volunteer, or just find out for the kids when the training times are for the myriad of sports that are played in Maleny.

Maleny District Sport & Rec Club are once more hosting a great community event – where there’s something for the kid in everyone!

There’s loads on offer from the many wonderful organisations that help make our leisure time so rewarding. Here’s a great way for families to spend Aussie Day together every year in one fun-packed morning.
