ABOUT
The Maleny Cultural & Historical Society was established in 1991 and is a non for profit organisation that collects, restores, stores and displays memorabilia displaying examples of past life in Maleny for future generations.
The Pioneer Village is shared with other groups including the Maleny Men’s Shed, Blackall Range Horseless Carriage Club & the Pioneer Ukulele Club. We welcome school visits, family reunions and buses by appointment. Our kitchen facilities can be hired by appointment.
The Village is open to the public on Tuesdays & Saturdays from 9.00 – 4.00pm or by appointment with our live in caretaker 5499 9030.
Our Collection policy states that we do not collect items that do not belong to Maleny’s history, please remember this when discarding your old history. You need to fill in a Gift Agreement form when gifting items. The form is available from the caretaker at the Village.
The Historical Society welcomes new members. Our Village continues to grow with exciting prospects of new projects. Please let us know if you’re interested.
