Visit Historic Pattemore House
"Fairview" (Pattemore House) and surrounding land, are listed on the Qld State Heritage register. This elegant historic farmhouse was built in 1907 by the Pattemore family, from white beech timber pit-sawn and dressed by hand on the property. It is open to the public the last Saturday of each month (except December) 1 - 4 pm, and also available for private tour bookings by contacting the Friends of Pattemore House. Official Opening “Glenferna” and Open Day at Pioneer Village!
His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC, Governor of Queensland will open and thank the volunteers of “Glenferna” the historic farmhouse that has been restored. Displays in the Men’s Shed, Blacksmith’s Shop, Cottages, Car Club, Pauline’s Shed, entertainment, stalls, disabled access, parking by donation. Morning Tea from 10.00am. Grand Opening 11.00. Meet The Indigenous Elders
Meet the local Indigenous Elders from the Jinibara traditional custodians. Elders from the Jinibara First Nations people will be talking about their culture and history in the Hinterland and introducing Jason Murphy, an emerging artist and leader of the Jinibara people. There is much to be learned about our country’s cultural past, and the Jinibara people have a wealth of stories to tell. Morning tea will be provided.
