SUMMARY:CANCELLED - Gardening on the Edge
DESCRIPTION:Gardening on the Edge\, an event hosted by the Maleny Garden Club\, is returning in 2021! Five beautiful gardens will be open on the June 12 and 13 weekend\, as well as a plant fair at Maleny Showground. The fair will have a wide range of plants for sale\, garden decor\, pottery and tools\, as well as delicious food . Entry to the fair is free on both days. \nThe events will comply with COVID requirements. \n\nCLICK HERE to access our first flyer. Share it with gardening friends!\n\nNumerous plant and product stalls at the fair will offer a wide range of species and ensure there is a plant suitable for every garden. Local produce will also available at the fair. Juicy pineapples were a big hit at the last event and sold quickly. For the first time\, one of the gardens will feature a display of sculptures. This will be curated by local arts identities Kevin and Jennifer Radbourne. Pottery for sale usually features at one of the gardens as well.\nThere is a small fee for entry to the gardens. Funds are raised to assist community groups in Maleny and the district.\n\nDidn’t we miss these opportunities last year!\n\n\nWatch for future updates on our website and Facebook page.

DESCRIPTION:“Fairview” (Pattemore House) and surrounding land\, are listed on the Qld State Heritage register.  This elegant historic farmhouse was built in 1907 by the Pattemore family\, from white beech timber pit-sawn and dressed by hand on the property. It is open to the public the last Saturday of each month (except December) 1 – 4 pm\, and also available for private tour bookings by contacting the Friends of Pattemore House. \nTake a house and garden tour\, and enjoy afternoon tea on the historic verandas. See some local sculptures and poetry on the nearby Heritage Trail Walk to the Old Bails\, that takes in sweeping views of the Maleny Community Precinct.
